1 Down, 6 To Go

Project # 1 - Complete. Paloma's bedroom has been metamorphosed into a beautiful, bright butterfly room. I finally said enough is enough to my boring monochromatic house which we moved into over a year ago. It was time to add some pizazz. Being the baby, Paloma was up first.
Her room is not fully complete. We still have some trim to paint, but Dave swears he'll finish once he arrives back from yet another travel stint.
I will be starting Mattea's room this evening. She will be getting an ultra cool pink princess room - her choice of course. After that, I hope to jazz up the laundry room, master bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and toy room.
So I've been a bit busy lately - and a bit sore!

You are crazy! Tackling about every room in your house, and painting while Dave is out of town. Way to go. I am excited to see the finished products. If you ever need the girls out of your hair, give me a call.

Any other projects planned besides painting? I wish I were closer, too! You know I'd be right there painting with you!! I haven't painted it a while--I'm getting the urge :-)

I just repainted my kitchen from a color washed light blue to a dark blue. What a project. I totally recommend the more expensive ceiling trimmer verses the cheapie, not that I didn't get a straight line!! Opps, maybe I didn't. We are painting up north at this point of the project. I picked a dark brindle chocolate bathroom, nutmeg and tucson tan for the entry and living room, and a medium blue for my kitchen. I haven't seen it yet, Jay painted it all. I hope I like it, I went with deep/darker colors. I painted light on this house, then went a shade darker, and now want even more color. If only I had more time. Post a photo of the rooms as you get them done. I did p-nuts room in Winnie the Pooh. I had a lady paint a mural on the wall. Just the other day she figured out all the characters were on the wall. It was neat to see her touch them and talk to them. To be little again . . .
